I am a firm believer in working for what you want and pushing hard to reach a high level on individual skills and to reach a team goal. I like to teach athletes proper skills while also getting players a lot of opportunities to practice through supervised repetitions. I think that coaching takes two important elements: the coach and the athlete. The athlete needs to be willing to be part of a team, follow directions, be prepared to give maximum effort and come with a positive attitude. The coach needs to come with a positive attitude, always willing to get the best out of the athletes. My goal is to instill in all of my players a positive attitude, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. I will do this by modeling these skills every practice.
I have been married for 25 years to my wife, Angelina, and we have three children. I am currently the JV coach at Cortez High School.
